Heartbreaking to read about Little Peter/Peter the Hermit/ Peter of Amiens/Peter of Achères/(c. 1050 – 8 July 1115 or 1131). The Rhineland Massacres. Gzerot Tatnó (Hebrew: גזרות תתנ"ו).

So valuable to have Tim Osner's vast knowledge of these military/historical events.

I deeply value how I am able to learn important NONFICTION historical events through reading a thought-provoking and intriguing FICTION story.

I have a chill down my spine and feel sickened reading this information on Peter the Hermit from Wikipedia:

"There is also a strong and old tradition that Peter the Hermit was the first to introduce the use of the Rosary."

How could the Rosary (which brings profound comfort and peace to so many people) have been introduced by someone who committed such acts?

Assuming there is a heaven and hell...

How could the very instrument of grace and a spiritual tool to help GET TO HEAVEN have been introduced by someone who (by today's standards) should absolutely be in hell?
